Recently KiloThought sponsored WordCamp Tokyo, a two-day WordPress conference in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. The conference took place at the sky-scraping Sumitomo Fudosan Kanda Building, and was attended by a full spectrum of web designers, developers, programmers, bloggers, businesspeople, and WordPress enthusiasts. (Learn more about global WordCamp events in our post about sponsoring WordCamp Miami 2015).
The slogan for this year’s WordCamp Tokyo was “More Publishing.” The overall theme was democratization of publishing; promoting WordPress as a way to bridge long-standing gaps between economic classes, generations, and nations.
KiloThought joined 40 other organizations and corporations sponsoring WordCamp Tokyo, including many Japanese digital agencies as well as big-name corporate sponsors like Microsoft and Bluehost. We had the distinguished honor of being the only design/digital media agency from the United States to sponsor the event.
